A method to check the consistency between the predictions of hyperbolic-heat-conduction theories and the principle of nondecreasing entropy is proposed. Then the method is applied to check the consistency between the principle and two hyperbolic-heat-conduction theories recently presented in the literature. One of the theories is found to be inconsistent with the principle.
