A kinetic derivation of radiation sensitivity, 1/D₃₇ , which includes both temperature and dose rate as environmental parameters gives 1/D₃₇=C₁e^-E₁/T+α1+Φ ⁱC₄e^-E₄/T+C₃e^-E₃/T+β , where Φ is dose rate, α and β are constants, and Cⱼe^-Eⱼ/T ; j = 1, 3, 4; are Arrenhius expressions. The cases in which i = ±1 are analyzed and applied to data in which temperature and dose rate are variable.
