Western capitalism has come of age and opposition to it has entered a period of decline. Those who hold the power enjoy such great wealth that the rest of the world's population is plunged into misery and poverty. This study falls into three parts: in the first, the authors look at how this situation has come about; in the second, they each look at how globalization has affected the US, the former USSR and the Third World. In the last section, they propose a way forward.
