This note investigates the physical origin of , the wavenumber of the COCM modulation in the matter power spectrum . The naive relation with Mpc gives a factor of 15 too large. This factor is not free: it equals – orbital cycles sampled over the effective DESI survey window, determined by Gyr and the survey comoving volume without a free parameter. The connection (NT23) links to the bulk geometry. The separation rules out harmonic resonance with BAO robustly. Status: Working hypothesis improved.
