Using the National Crime Victimization Survey School Crime Supplement (NCVS-SCS) data from 2005 to 2019 (n = 34,935), this study assesses how student-perceived school opportunity factors are associated with risk of being a victim-only, delinquent-only, and victim-delinquent, and how those associations differ across student racial and ethnic populations. Overall, the results highlight that many opportunity factors are associated with the outcomes irrespective of racial/ethnic identity. However, important variation in some associations across racial/ethnic groups is also observed. These results have implications for the types of crime prevention programming that should be implemented in schools, and for whom they are likely to be most effective.
