Bibliometric analysis reveals the fragmented research landscape of antimicrobial resistance in Indonesia, highlighting critical knowledge gaps.
Despite the urgent clinical need, the Indonesian AMR research landscape remains fragmented and unevenly distributed geographically. While academic centers on Java Island generate robust genomic and clinical data, a significant information gap persists regarding the prevalence and molecular epidemiology of WHO priority pathogens in Eastern Indonesia and in secondary healthcare facilities (3,13). This knowledge gap hinders the development of a truly representative National Action Plan. Therefore, this study aims to (1) analyze publication trends and research networks related to carbapenem-resistant WHO priority pathogens in Indonesia using bibliometric analysis and (2) synthesize existing evidence on antimicrobial resistance patterns through a scoping review.
