The method introduced allows the classical deterministic value to be used to produce approximations to a high order of accuracy for the mean and the fluctuations in reversible second-order chemical reactions. The reaction A+B⇄C+D is examined and the results are encouraging for the use of this approach in other problems of a similar nature.
