It is also one of the most important parts of nursing practice. There is increasing evidence that formal decision techniques applied sensibly can improve decision-making (Aitkin, 2003). Nurse practitioners must strive to find ways to improve and enhance their decision-making abilities. This article explores one such framework for decision-making that can be used by both novice and experienced nurses.
