This article describes the endeavor of a group of Jewish-Israeli practitioners in a marital and family counseling agency to design and implement acceptable intervention strategies for the Arab-Israeli population. Stretching over 2 years, and marked by repeated trial and error, the efforts resulted in greater cultural sensitivity on the part of the agency's Jewish staff members and in an intervention strategy that the Arab population helped to both design and implement.
