The propagation characteristics at 1880-1900 MHz and the performance of the DECT system are simulated in urban roads. The channel impulse responses, path losses and RMS delay spreads are evaluated from a multiple ray simulation for antennas placed well below roof top. A simulation of a DECT transmitter and receiver, including a tap delay line channel simulation, is employed in order to evaluate bit error rates (BERs) under varying channel conditions. The results are of interest for different PCN systems at 1800 MHz, too.>
