In recent years, with the continuous growth of car ownership, road carrying capacity in many cities has reached saturation, traffic safety, travel efficiency, environmental protection and other issues which have become increasingly prominent, for which car networking technology would be an effective solution. In this paper, the overall system architecture of the vehicle network is divided into different hierarchies. The two most feasible communication standards (IEEE 802.11p and LTE) are compared and analyzed in detail. This paper proposes a vehicle network transmission model based on two different wireless transmission technologies. The combined model utilizes the advantages of 802.11p broadcast transmission and fast diffusion to transmit the safety message, which ensures the timely reception of the nearby vehicles. While the use of LTE transmission of high quality, wide coverage and other advantages to transfer non-safety messages to satisfy the passengers entertainment experience. The integration model will help the vehicle network wireless transmission technology become practical, which is very important for both theoretical and application prospects.
