A procedure and experimental equipment for exciting and measuring gas turbine blade vibrations by their main and higher-order vibration modes within the range from 150 to 20,000 Hz at a normal temperatures are described. The above equipment was used to advantage in fast determining the influence of a wide variety of design, technology and other factors on the frequency and vibration modes.
