The infrared transmission and reflection spectra of samples of amorphous and crystalline GeSe have been studied. Features are observed in the spectra of the amorphous phase which are attributed to the change in atomic coordination numbers on vitrification. High- and low-frequency dielectric constants are also obtained for both phases.
