Abstract Tables of upper and lower limits on the upper 5 per cent and 1 per cent points of the distribution of the studentized maximum absolute deviate in normal samples are presented. The method of computation and the reliability of the tables are described, and approximations which may be used to supplement the table are derived and discussed. Examples of the use of the tables are given with special attention devoted to their use for multiple significance testing on a set of means.
