This study examines the impact of size and international business experience on market entry strategies. One hundred and ninety-five MNC firms from three Midwest U.S. states participated. The results indicate that size has a nominal impact on market entry strategies and that prior international involvement influences only the export strategy. The results further indicate that U.S. firms most prefer to enter foreign markets by exporting and prefer least to enter such markets by setting up foreign manufacturing subsidiaries.
