AbstractThis study aims to examine the dynamics of innovation in human service nonprofits by investigating the pathways from innovativeness to innovation outcome through innovation input, process, and output. The findings from 258 community-based social service centers in South Korea suggest that innovativeness initiates innovation implementation and eventually contributes to innovation outcome. The study reveals that innovative culture may be the most important factor to facilitate innovation in human service nonprofits.
