In a dispersal study, the time between release and recapture and rate of movement was similar in the sibling species Anopheles annulipes species A and species G. The weighted mean distance travelled was 1.2 km for species A and 1.3 km for species G. Various wing measurements were not correlated with flight performance. The maximum recorded flight was 5 km for species A and 1.5 km for species G.
