U-Tweet is a Flutter-based social networking application developed for University of Lahore students. The project aims to reduce the communication gap between students, teachers, and faculty by providing a secure, university-focused platform for real-time interaction, academic discussion, announcements, profile management, and community engagement. The application includes user registration and authentication, real-time posts, likes and comments, profile editing, follow/unfollow functionality, approximate location-based user mapping, and an admin-moderated anonymous confession feature. It uses Flutter for cross-platform mobile development and Firebase services for authentication, Cloud Firestore database storage, Firebase Storage, and real-time backend integration. This final year project demonstrates practical software engineering concepts including requirements analysis, system design, agile development, database modeling, modular implementation, security and privacy controls, testing, performance evaluation, and future scalability. The system was tested on Android and iOS environments and designed with maintainability, responsiveness, and secure university-based communication in mind.
