At the end of 1962 the Sub‐Committee on Canine Nutrition of the Committee of Animal Nutrition of the Agricultural Board, National Academy of Sciences—National Research Council produced a new edition of their report, “Nutrient Requirements of Dogs”, first published in 1955. This report which presents the latest and authoritative research information on dog nutrition is summarized in abstract form. Energy‐calorie, protein, carbohydrate, fat, mineral and vitamin requirements are all reviewed.
