Some aspects of housing consumption in late nineteenth century England and Wales

This paper examines some aspects of housing consumption in late nineteenth century England and Wales. It stresses the socially and historically specific nature of housing consumption, and distinguishes differences in social relations between various sub‐sectors of the private rental housing market.
