This study systematically analyzed the current status of Internet of Things technology applications for the introduction of Smart Mining in small-scale mines and conducted foundational research to design a digital data exchange and sharing system of an appropriate scale.Through a literature review, the level of technology applied at mining sites was classified into five stages (concept presentation, prototype, real-time monitoring, real-time control, and optimization), and domestic and international application cases were classified by mine type, application field, wireless communication technology, sensor network, and data processing techniques. The results of this study will serve as foundational data for designing digital data exchange and sharing technologies, configuring sensor networks, and establishing data flows and processing techniques for small-scale mines in the future.
