Application of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems in buildings, highlighting their environmental and economic benefits. The proposed system involves utilizing the roof space of buildings to install solar panels with diesel generators (DGs). The arrangement of the panels is optimized using Helioscope software to maximize the capture of light energy. The HOMER pro software was used to evaluate the study. The results indicate a high availability of PV energy and a surplus of generated electricity, making it a promising investment option. The net present cost (NPC) is lower and also demonstrates a lower cost of generating 1 kWh of electricity.
