The main objective of rural revitalization is to boost rural industry prosperity so that people can live and work in peace and happiness. The coordination degree of housing-jobs can accurately indicate the nature and results of rural revitalization. Taking 37 counties (districts) as the research unit in Chongqing in this study, we applied the method of pearson correlation analysis and a geographical detector to represent the spatial geographical pattern of rural areas in Chongqing, and investigated the quantitative link between the degree and its components that affect rural housing-jobs coordination. The results showed that: (1) There is a major geographic imbalance in Chongqing's rural housing-jobs coordination at the county level, with approximately 32.43% of the sector still in initial stages. The high-value type was mainly found in the center areas of Chongqing, whereas the low-value one was more common in Chongqing's northeast and southeast. (2) The primary factors influencing rural housing-jobs coordination are industrial structure, closeness to the provincial capital, condition of medical level, and altitude. The combination of numerous elements is what leads to the differentiation of rural housing-jobs. (3) The county can be categorized into five groups: comprehensive development type, social public service constraint type, economic factor-social public service constraint type, resource environment-economic constraint type, and comprehensive constraint type according to the cooperative formation mechanisms of rural housing-jobs. The differentiation strategy is proposed to serve as a guide for the implementation of rural revitalization based on the driving mechanism of the differentiation of rural housing-jobs coordination degree at the county level and in combination of the resource and environment carrying capacity, location conditions, and functional positioning of the five types.
