Intercultural Interaction in Distributed Teams: Salience of and Adaptations to Cultural Differences.

This study examines the significance of societal cultural differences in the interaction within 12 software development teams distributed across the U.S., Germany and India. Using norms of approach as an example, we pinpoint factors that heighten the salience of particular cultural differences and influence adaptation to those differences.
