Model proposes urban sustainability solutions for the City of Rey, emphasizing environmental revitalization.
In recent decades, environmental shifts and the ensuing urban challenges have considerably diminished residents’ quality of life and eroded cities’ natural identities. This degradation compromises the long-term sustainability, ecological balance, and overall continuity of urban living. Rapid urbanization, industrial expansion, and neglect of green spaces have further exacerbated these issues, making it imperative to devise solutions. To address these pressing problems, innovative frameworks are essential for developing holistic strategies that restore cities’ natural essence and support sustainable growth. This paper advocates for environmental centrism, asserting that environmental revitalization is crucial for both human well-being and urban survival. We present a detailed model for the City of Rey in Tehran Province, utilizing historical data from documents, maps, and interviews to assess the city’s long-term viability. We introduce the Philosophy of Return and develop a computer-based model grounded in historical factors. This approach provides a comprehensive framework for restoring urban identity, improving quality of life, and achieving environmental harmony.
