A novel type of single-ended resonant inverter using a new bipolar Darlington transistor that operates efficiently in the frequency range from 20 kHz to about 50 kHz is considered. The inverter implementation for an induction-heating cooker includes a unique power control strategy. The analysis and performance evaluations for the circuit design are also carried out.
