The current adverse global conditions have generated the need for organisations to integrate various supply chain paradigms for the purpose of meeting customer demand while holding on to the environmental innovation requirements. The lean and agile supply chain (LASC) strategy is considered a relevant option for supply chain decision-makers. Precisely, the LASC strategy and its impact on innovation performance are considered one of the most currently discussed topics in the supply chain management literature. Hence, based on the resource-based view (RBV), the present paper discusses the impact of LASC on supply chain innovation performance through dynamic capability, relational embeddedness, and innovation capacity. The empirical evidence is operated within the Tunisian automotive components supply chain based on the structural equation modelling approach within 125 companies. The findings generated insights on the importance of the mediating role of the dynamic capability, the relational trust, and the R&D management to foster the impact of LASC innovation performance.
