Abstract

: In recent years, the rapid evolution of telecommunication technologies has led to the emergence of sixth generation (6G), promising unprecedented connectivity, speed, and intelligence. Ensuring secure communication and proper authorization across network functions (NFs), the fundamental units of network slice present a significant challenge in 6G network slicing. Traditional authentication methods face scalability issues, management complexities, and security risks, such as unauthorized access, denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, and data leakage in multi-operator environments. To address these challenges, it presents a blockchain-based secure framework for identity verification and authorization in 6G network slicing. The framework leverages distributed data management, utilizing the Rivest-Shamir-Adleman tuned data encryption standard (RSA-DES) algorithm to provide secure and efficient data transformation services across multi-operator environments. Additionally, the NF authorization system, powered by blockchain technology, ensures protection against vulnerabilities arising from NF sharing between slices. The framework's security is validated through formal verification using the real-or-random (ROR) validation tool, along with a performance analysis of data creation and validation times. These findings indicate that the suggested method offers a robust, scalable, and secure solution for identity verification and authorization in 6G network slicing.
