This article shows the environmental effects derived from energy production from renewable energy. Renewable energy technology developments promote sustainability. In order to improve the environment, technological innovations are essential especially in the promotion of energy conservation, reducing carbon emission by trading off carbon-emitting fossil fuels for renewable energy. Many researchers have examined the effects of renewable energy on environmental pollution. The main findings were that the emissions and environmental impacts occurred, for example, by renewable energy production compared to the other fossil electricity generation technologies have been analysed. This paper presents a model that integrates energy and the environment. Its results can inform energy system planning and other policies undertaken to ensure a just and green energy transition at the global, regional and national levels.
