Improving software energy efficiency is critical for reducing the energy footprint of ICT and contributing to sustainable development. As the main principle for developing and operating modern software systems, DevOps offers significant opportunities to improve software sustainability, as integration between development and operations enables continuous collection and analysis of energy consumption data, which can be used to optimize the energy efficiency of software and its deployment environment.
