The article discusses findings from a study on translation from Danish into Chinese. The present project offers important insights into cultural dissemination, focusing on the way translation helps to realize communication between two cultures as diverse as Danish and Chinese, where the wide gap between the two languages only adds to the difficulties. In an international perspective, this study contributes to our understanding of how the cultures of small nations may be received in major ones.
