Demonstrates enhanced tumor cell membrane tension in response to light, suggesting improved photoimmunotherapy outcomes.
Photoimmunotherapy In their Research Article (DOI: 10.1002/adfm.75447), Yuqi Tang, Quan Li, and coworkers report a light-triggered azobenzene-based modulator MTTBN for precise spatiotemporal regulation of tumor cell membrane tension. Under ultraviolet and 520 nm laser irradiation, respectively, MTTBN elevates membrane tension or induces membrane tension-enhanced pyroptosis-mediated photoimmunotherapy. This reversible platform provides a conceptual framework for integrating membrane mechanics with photoimmunotherapy.
