Customising of a two-dimensional CAD system to service the needs of a small high technology company

This paper discusses the implementation of a low cost CAD system, allied to a relational database product, at a small high technology manufacturing company. The problems involved and the methods used to create a fully automatic system for the creation of production drawing are detailed, along with the methods of operation of the resulting system.
