This article examines cognitive differences in modern AI, highlighting the shift to specialized systems in technology.
This article examines the emergence of specialized artificial intelligence systems and analyzes the cognitive differences between modern AI models. The paper explores how contemporary AI architectures are evolving from general-purpose generative systems into distinct cognitive classes focused on reasoning, retrieval, multimodal processing, and autonomous task execution. Comparative analysis of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok, Perplexity, and Manus AI is presented within a broader framework of cognitive specialization and human–AI interaction. The article argues that future AI development will likely be shaped by orchestrated ecosystems of specialized cognitive systems rather than a single universal intelligence.
