Investigates inventory optimization in a medical organization, highlighting cost reductions.
The setup cost under a neutrosophic environment largely depends on the lot size and rises gradually with larger quantities in this study’s neutrosophic inventory model, which takes shortages into account. The recommended approach seeks to identify the associated neutrosophic economic order quantity and reduce the entire neutrosophic total cost. Triangular neutrosophic numbers are used to express a variety of inventory parameters, such as ordering, holding, shortage, and cost of transportation. The graded mean integration method is used to transform these neutrosophic values into clear equivalents. In addition, a rule-based framework for estimating the neutrosophic economic order quantity is put together, and numerical examples pertaining to a medical organization are implemented to show the model’s applicability.
