Study demonstrates the significance of Qin-style jadewares in rituals and daily life among nobles.
Qin-style jadewares were made and predominantly used in Qin State during the Spring and Autumn Period. The author has discovered over ten pieces of Qin-style jadewares from collections of the Palace Museum, including Bi, Jue, Huang, Xi, as well as variously shaped pendants. By comparing relevant archaeological materials, these Qin-style jadewares were probably used by nobles in the Qin palace mainly for rituals, funerals and daily accessories. The craftsmanship, ornamentation and shape have showed the rustic yet vibrant Qin culture.
