Demonstrates improved position control accuracy in UAVs, suggesting enhanced operational stability.
The quadcopter suspension system makes the entire system more complex due to the addition of loads and elastic ropes. This paper utilizes the differential flatness theory to analyze the quadcopter suspension system with disturbance. The extended state observers are employed to estimate disturbance and unmeasured state quantities. Additionally, introduce a virtual control to solve the problem of strong coupling between control variables. The combination of sliding mode control (SMC) and back‐stepping control ensures stable control of the entire suspension system. The convergence of the UAV position tracking error and the stability of the closed‐loop system are proven through Lyapunov stability analysis. Compared to the other two advanced control strategies, the comparison results show that the proposed strategy has superior performance in terms of position control accuracy (0.005 m steady‐state error) and load angle adjustment (adjustment time around 2–4 s). Numerical simulation results confirm the strong robustness and swing reduction performance of the control strategy.
