Evaluates optimal seed germination conditions in Leonurus heterophyllus, suggesting important guidelines.
The influence of different conditions on Leonurus heterophyllus seed germination were tested in this paper. The conditions included 6 temperature treatments (15 ℃, 20 ℃, 25 ℃, 30 ℃, (15/25) ℃, and (20/30) ℃), 2 light treatments (0 and 2 000 lx) and 4 germinating-bed treatments (top of paper (TP), between of paper (BP), top of sand (TS), and between of sand (S)). According to the germination performance under different conditions, the optimum seed germination conditions of Leonurus heterophyllus were as follows: temperature 25~30℃, germinating-beds TP and BP, light or dark. The first seedling-counting time is the 4th day after germination; the last time is the 9th day.
