Cohort study reveals a slight risk increase for cardiovascular events in severe chronic hand eczema, suggesting complex associations.

Severe chronic hand eczema showed a marginally increased risk of major adverse cardiovascular events, including ischemic stroke and mainly in hyperkeratotic and dyshidrotic subtypes, likely reflecting residual confounding.
