Watching brief documents findings during service excavation for a new sixth form center, indicating site truncation.
Wessex Archaeology was commissioned to undertake a watching brief on the excavation of service identification test pits and the installation of a new service diversion trench as part of the construction of a new sixth form center at Worth School. Made ground deposits were present across the watching brief area, with the exception of the southernmost parts of the diversion trench. The made ground directly overlaid the natural geology indicating that the site had been previously truncated. A single modern waste pit was recorded beneath the made ground deposits.
