Historic building survey documents the conditions of a timber trestle viaduct, indicating necessary repairs.
The Historic Building Survey was undertaken prior to repair and consolidation work to a section of the timber trestle viaduct above the public footpath. The section of the viaduct was surveyed and documented on site. Photographs taken and measured sketches produced to create elevation drawings of the two trestles. The survey observed the general construction of the viaduct, formation of the timber trestles, historic repair, joint details and marks. Various phases and types of repair were observed. Some timber elements have been documented with significant rot.
