Erratum corrects prior errors regarding USRDS dataset and compliance in a cohort study on outcomes for a specific population.
In the May 2026 issue of Annals of Surgery, in the article by Shah et al., titled “Outcomes Among Patients With End‑stage Kidney Disease and Chronic Limb‑threatening Ischemia: A Population‑based Cohort Study”,1 some errors were identified as detailed below. 1. A statement indicating that the United States Renal Data System (USRDS) dataset is publicly available was removed to align with the USRDS Data Use Agreement. 2. Required acknowledgment and disclaimer language for USRDS data use was added to the Sponsor’s Role section. 3. Revisions were made to figures, tables, and reference information, including cell‑level suppression, to ensure compliance with USRDS reporting requirements.
