Luminescent complexes: Through the design and synthesis of a series of new osmium-based β-diketonate carbonyl complexes (see picture; MLCT=metal-to-ligand charge transfer, kisc=intersystem crossing constant), a remarkable aromatic tunable fluorescence/phosphorescence ratio was explored.
