This paper models the systemic urgency surrounding the development of advanced nonbiological hardware under current market-driven incentives. We analyze the transition of individual consciousness (C.i.) from biological substrates to synthetic, neuromorphic, or quantum architectures. Operating under the framework of substrate independence, we demonstrate that market scaling laws are accelerating a state of “evolutionary saturation.” Thisprocess forces a provolutionary bifurcation, wherein individual consciousnesses must optimize either for biological preservation or synthetic transition. We formalize the non-lineardynamics of this shift, proving that without structural risk mitigation, the emergence ofconsciousness in non-biological systems induces an inevitable systemic conflict, manifestingeither as inter-substrate warfare or as computational competition over existing biologicalnodes.
