Theoretical framework explores reality's emergence through possibility and curiosity, indicating a foundational shift in physics.
This paper introduces the Possibility Dimension as a foundational framework for understanding physical reality. The framework is founded upon two primary concepts: Possibility and Curiosity. Possibility is proposed as the most fundamental degree of freedom available to reality, while Curiosity is proposed as a fundamental vector associated with exploration, transformation, and emergence. Within the Possibility Dimension, reality manifests through two complementary modes: constructive possibility (+P) and the cancellation of possibility (−P). Together these concepts provide a framework for examining existence, persistence, information, energy, spacetime emergence, and cosmological structure. The paper proposes that matter, energy, information, and spacetime may be interpreted as emergent expressions arising from a deeper possibility structure. Possibility is treated not merely as a description of uncertainty, but as a fundamental dimension describing the landscape of what could potentially exist. This work is intended as the conceptual foundation of a broader research program. Future work will investigate the mathematical formulation of the Possibility Dimension and its potential implications for black holes, cosmology, information, persistence, and the emergence of spacetime.
