Examines visible-light absorption enhancement in TiO2 composites, suggesting improved properties.
This study explores the potential electron-hole recombination dynamics and possible visible-light absorption enhancement of titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ) when incorporated with bamboo-derived graphene oxide quantum dots (GOQD). Synthesized via slow pyrolysis and chemical oxidation, a candidate GOQD sample is selected for binary and ternary composite integration. Specific GOQD loadings appeared to correlate with improved photocurrent (I-V) behavior and charge carrier mobility, though an excess of it hindered performance. These observations may suggest that GOQD incorporation could modify composite system, potentially offering a pathway toward enhancing their electrical and optical properties.
