Theoretical framework demonstrates chiral symmetry in vacuum-seeded microwave emission, indicating new material behaviors.
Abstract / Project Description: We present, a driven–dissipative theoretical framework for stochastic chiral symmetry selection, in vacuum-seeded microwave emission, from a spatiotemporally modulated superconducting metamaterial. The process begins with dynamical Casimir effect (DCE) pair production, of symmetric vacuum photons, followed by Floquet mode mixing, nonlinear dissipative saturation from two-photon loss, and finally noise-driven stochastic selection on a slow manifold. Spontaneous symmetry breaking is defined as the unbiased (ε → 0) emergence of a preferred direction with roughly equal probability (predicted 50/50) across realizations. This is fundamentally distinct from externally biased nonreciprocity induced by finite ε > 0.
