Participants wore wrist actimeters for 7 days and completed sleep quality questionnaires.
Postural stability was assessed using a force platform under four conditions for 60 seconds each.
A positive correlation was found between sleep quality (PSQI) and medio-lateral amplitude of center of pressure (r=0.48; p<0.05) during normal stance/eyes closed.
A similar positive correlation (r=0.47; p<0.05) was observed during narrow stance/eyes open.
No correlations were found between sleep/wake patterns and other postural control variables.
