Demonstrates improved efficiency in silicon solar cells, suggesting new techniques for better performance.
Recently, in Cell Press Blue , Mingzhe Yu et al. introduced laser-induced spatial partitioning of passivating contacts to decouple passivation and charge transport in silicon solar cells. Selective crystallization of amorphous silicon into nanocrystalline silicon reduces contact losses while preserving effective passivation, enabling high-efficiency silicon photovoltaics.
