Demonstrates cloud-edge-fog applications design in cyber-physical systems, highlighting implications for advanced computing environments.
The MYRTUS 1 project aims at unlocking the new living dimension of Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) integrating edge, fog and cloud computing platforms. This integration requires a common modelling language to design the new generation of cloud-fog-edge environments. This paper describes a walkthrough to the Model-based approach that uses the key cloud standard, TOSCA (Topology and Orchestration Specification for Cloud Applications) to be used to describe cloud computing services and their components, as well as the orchestration process needed to manage them.
